Ann Stimson is southern raised and the south surely has her heart. A Memphis native, she decided to pursue her college degree elsewhere- in the south though of course! A senior at the University of Georgia, she is majoring public relations and minoring in consumer economics with a certificate in new media. During her time at UGA, she interned at Epting Events, which is a local, full-service event company as a PR intern. Here, her interest in PR was strengthened especially in the digital realm. She is also a media junkie and serves as the Account Executive for her New Media Capstone project. Here, she takes on the roles of a leader while also serving as a team player. One for constant communication and seeing communication as the key to life, Ann actively engages in daily communication between team members, Didi Dunphy, curator and director at Hotel Indigo, as well as various artists in the Athens-Clarke county community.
Adriana Booker spent the majority of her life in Marlboro, New Jersey before she moved to the south at the age of 15. She is a senior at the University of Georgia and will be receiving a Communication Studies degree in May 2015. She has a passion for the radio and spent the past year being the News Director at WUOG 90.5 FM and interned at WUGA providing Local News radio audio and written content. In addition, she loves digital media has strengthened during her time in college. Her love for writing led her to becoming the Content Producer for her New Media Capstone project. Even though she has individual responsibilities, she remains in constant communication with her group members. She ensures that the concept and product is being explained correctly. Plus, the written information that will be given in a clear, concise and efficient manner.
Brad Gerke was born in Winter Park, Florida, but has lived in Georgia the majority of his life. He is a Mass Media Arts major at the University of Georgia and is pursuing certificates in Music Business and New Media. Brad is a musician and performs in the Athens, GA area as a solo artist and with the band Summer Sonics. He has also directed short films in his time at UGA. After graduating in May 2016, Brad hopes to work in audio production in film. Brad is the visual designer for the team and is overseeing the look of our work.
Sara Jungles grew up a little bit of everywhere having lived in Virginia, Georgia and Texas. Upon graduation in December of 2015, she hopes to pursue a career in Web Development utilizing her degree in Management Information Systems and certificate from the New Media Institute. During her last year at school, she worked as the IT intern for Zaxby’s Franchising, Inc. learning a lot about the business world and food service industry. This role has provided her invaluable experience on how to deal with clients and work on a team. On the Capstone team, she serves as Programmer. She handles the creation of all technological aspects of the project but works with the team in learning more about all other disciplines. Communication with the team and client have been critical for Sara in order to make sure everyone is on the same page and the product meets the expectations of everyone involved.
